Makers’ Jr. is on a mission to impact a million young minds between ages 4-16 by 2026, giving them access to inexpensive learning tools and resources that are decentralized, impact-oriented, easy to understand, invokes natural kid reactions & thoughtfully designed by curious explorers with varied expertise.
Who's the Main Monkey🙊?
I found myself becoming, thinking & functioning like a kid in my late 20s. Though it felt weird in the beginning, eventually I saw that this mindset was powerful. It had broadened my mental horizon to see the world with sustained curiosity.
Ever since, I've wondered "what if I had never lost it in the first place?".
Then I got the chance to tutor Jr. Monkeys for a couple of years as part of my job role. This vastly changed my line of thought for the better. This is also where I realized that kids (including me & most of you who are reading this) are being put through a system that is designed to mass produce replicas with workforce mindset.
It does not reward originality, curiosity, failures, foundational thinking & questioning.
After having cribbed about the flawed system for years, I realized that it's in our hands - to (try to) bring the change, to save the curious kind, to make this world a better place & to truly be one with nature.
That is what I aspire to do through Makers' Jr.
